Always enjoyed SBF's posts.
The "ending" was something out of a Peter Sellers movie. . .. . or something like that.. . . . .
. . . ."Aye, this was all just a red herring, that is all. . . .. . "
after some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.
thank you for all the kindness and many interesting discussions over the years.
i wish you all well in the future and the decisions you make.

elder tells study internet is bad for research.
(watch the video here...).
it might be that the watchtower has embraced the internet in recent years as never before but in private things are the same .watch this video as an elder strongly discourages a study from using the internet to get answers.shameless mind control from the same people who promote in any kind shape and form their version of online truth ,jw.org.. not many years ago they used to demonise the internet as the following quote from july 2007 kingdom ministry shows:.
Its really quite amazing (but not surprising) how early in the game (home bible study level) shame and guilt are employed in "thought reform."
The elder starts out by saying he's not feeling the usual "connection" (or something to that effect) that he feels with other students. Is the problem his poor teaching or social skills? Nope! It's the study's fault.
From there we get into controlling information, and again he does this by using guilt and shame. It's like your taking to pharisees when jesus is standing next to you. The implication there is "you are a hideous person For doing this. Shame on you!"
The next step is these feelings of guilt and shame are internalized by the study, so the next time he goes to google "Jehovahs witness United nations" his Big Brother doesn't have to be there to stop him; he stops himself out of guilt and shame.
Personally, I feel this step -- instilling guilt feelings over "independent thinking" and researching outside information -- is the most insidious step of the thought reform regimen. If the target takes the bait here, it becomes infinitely more difficult to escape indoctrination.

Wow, that is something else.
so i am the weird case that i still believe in the jehovah's organization.
there are a couple of things that stop me from going.
is there anyone else out there that still believes?
I know that things have changed since the last time I went. But I believe in most of the teachings.
First thing I asked myself when I started on my "journey" was "How do I know what I know?"
Little did I know at that time, that this is probably one of the most important questions a human can ask themselves.
Love your comment BILLYTEB!
today i added a new article to my blog.
it will appeal to readers interested in historical documentation of watchtower blood doctrine.
it contains an image of a very rare document from the early 1970s stipulating what jehovah's witnesses do not allow.
Wow. Very interesting. Thanks for posting this!
hey guys!
here's what i found to be the best way (for me at least) to debate jw's without earning the laber of apostate.
this is mostly valid when debating jw's that don't know you personally, but it could help with those that do too.
COOKIEMASTER - I think you are 110% spot on. For JWs, God is not god. . .. . . "the society" is.
My personal experience:
When I fell into a black hole about 10 years ago, I pretty much realized there is nothing out there, no god.
But I KNEW that I still had the TRUTH! Weird, huh?
Then, when I wanted to "step down" as an elder, I literally told by PO my darkest thoughts/feelings: there is nothing out there.
I was deleted as I wished, and really have not been bothered by the elders since.
So yes, I think you are right: if you "make fun of " the bible and/or the biblical God, you can get away with it because that is not the JW god.
The Watchtower is.
local.
gay christians choosing celibacy emerge from the shadows.
despite encountering criticism, the lgbt community is finding greater acceptance, even in religious circles.
Can't possibly be gay.
Pants too loose.
Although there are the socks. . . . .
new member here so don't attack :d here is a couple questions i have been contemplating lately.. .
if jw isn't the right religion, then which one is?
or is it basically believe in god, the bible and you'll be fine?.
Hello WORLD! (if you've ever attempted programming you'll appreciate this)
Just real quick on #3: many if not most apostates think picketing in front of KHs/assys is stupid and counterproductiv, myself included. If people want to do that, that's their choice. Personally, I see no benefit either.
I recommend jwfacts.com as well - an excellent resource.
apologies, clumsy fingers again.
but be patient, at some a point a real post may appear..
Only if "soon" is several decades from now.
Interesting though. . . . .
